Undeclared motorcycle spare parts seized in the Port of Rosario

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) seized undeclared motorcycle parts and spare parts for an estimated value of $29 million hidden in a container from China.

The maneuver was detected by personnel from the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) in the port of Rosario, in Santa Fe, the AFIP reported on Tuesday (23.06.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) in a statement.

The container was carrying 240 metal doors and frames along with their fittings and 2.000 polyurethane containers.

During the inspection, DGA agents identified anomalies and ordered the complete unloading of the container, which allowed them to detect the undeclared products.

Among the Among the seized goods are 500 motorcycle engine cylinders, 200 digital dashboards, 40 metal fuel tanks, 120 500-cylinder electric motors and 9.500 bicycle tires..

The DGA filed the criminal complaint in Federal Court No. 3 of Rosario, the agency added in a statement.

When opening the container, customs inspectors initially found products that had been declared by the importers blocking the bottom of the container.
