Sacoa video game chain intervened for tax debt

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) intervened, with the authorization of the Court, the Sacoa gaming chain for a multi-million dollar tax debt.

This is the largest chain in the sector, whose owners created new companies based in various parts of the country to avoid the control of this organization and continue managing their 16 commercial establishments.

While accumulating debts with the tax authorities, the owners created a network of companies to continue operating. In particular, the AFIP detected the existence of a second company that was in charge of operating these commercial premises.

To test the links between both societies, data were taken into account such as the transfer of almost half of the employees from one company to the other; the re-registration of the tax controllers from one firm to the other; the non-existence of the transfer of goodwill and family ties between the shareholders of both companies.

At the request of the AFIP, the Federal Court of Tax Executions No. 1 in charge of Dr. Carlos M. Folco, Secretariat No. 2, managed by Dr. Florencia Otero, authorized the appointment of an intervenor in a well-known establishment on San Martin pedestrian street at 2300, Mar del Plata.

The intervention consists of allowing the presence of a person appointed by the judge in the establishment in question to seize a percentage of the sales made daily and deposit them in a court account, with the aim of obtaining payment on account of the taxes and social security contributions owed.
