AFIP strengthens its management capacity with a loan from the IDB

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) will access a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for U.S. $ 100 millones to strengthen its IT system, risk management and taxpayer services.

El decree 762 / 2018, published this Tuesday (21.8.2018) in the Official Gazette, approved the contract between the Argentine government and the IDB to finance part of the "AFIP Management Capacity Improvement Program".

Objectives

The program has three objectives:

  1. strengthen the risk management to support oversight tasks.
  2. Strengthen information systems through new technologies..
  3. Improve the taxpayer services.

Areas of Expertise

The financing, which will be executed over five years, will be used for the three general directorates that make up the AFIP:

  1. DGI
  2. Aduana
  3. Social security

The Federal Administrator of Public Revenue, Leandro Cuccioli, said "The IDB project will complement the strong investment process in processes and technology that AFIP plans to implement in the coming years. Specifically, we will enhance IT tools for taxpayer management and auditing.".

"We believe that the projects being launched this year will have an impact on tax collection over the next three to five years."He concluded.
