AFIP delimits two Primary Customs Zones in Formosa

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) issued the General Resolution 5146/2022 through which it proceeded to delimit the Primary Customs Zones of Pontón Flotante Puerto and Puerto Colonia Cano, under the jurisdiction of the Customs Division of Formosa.

The regulations, published this Wednesday (09.02.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, mention the criteria and procedures that must be observed for the delimitation of the Primary Customs Zones in the Customs Offices of the Interior of the country.

In this regard, it indicates that "the proposed perimeters meet the conditions required for their qualification as a Primary Customs Zone, in accordance with Article 5 of the Customs Code - Law No. 22.415 and its amendments. In turn, it clarifies that the resolution enters into force upon publication in the Official Gazette.

The Primary Customs Zone Floating Pontoon Port of Formosa It is located adjacent to the urban area in the city of the same name, Province of Formosa. It is located at the intersection of Avenida 25 de Mayo and the Paraguay River at Kilometer 1.448,5 right margin. Within it there is a platform and a floating pontoon, which is used for access to the barges or boats that dock there. The primary zone is included within the perimeter of a polygon with four (4) sides, according to the following detail: From point "A" to point "B", the concrete platform on firm land extends for a total of ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT (108) meters. From point "B" to point "C", with an extension of sixty-four (64) meters, bordering the Paraguay River. From point "C" to point "D", with an extension of seventy (70) meters, bordering the Paraguay River. Finally, the polygon closes the demarcation of points "D" to point "A", with sixty-four (64) meters, bordering the Paraguay River.

The total area is five thousand six hundred eighty-six point seventy-eight (5.686,78) square meters.

With regards to Primary Zone Puerto Colonia Cano, the regulations detail that the customs territory is located in the "Colonia Cano" area, Laishi Department of the Province of Formosa, one hundred and seventeen (117) kilometers from the city of Formosa. It is located on the banks of the Paraguay River, at Kilometer 1.329,5 right bank of the Colonia Cano area, also including the adjacent body of water where boats are moored. It is accessed by Provincial Route No. 9. The primary zone is included within the perimeter of a polygon with four (4) sides, according to the following detail: From point "A" to point "B", with an extension of ninety-six (96) meters, it borders the Paraguay River and forest area. From point "B" to point "C", with an extension of fifty-six (56) meters, it borders the forest area. From point "C" to point "D", with an extension of one hundred (100) meters, it borders the forest area. Finally, the polygon closes the demarcation of points "D" to point "A", with an extension of sixty-four (64) meters, bordering the Paraguay River.

The total area of ​​the Puerto Colonia Cano Primary Zone is five thousand nine hundred seven point thirteen (5.907,13) square meters.

About the Primary Customs Zone

El Article 5 of the Customs Code (Law 22.415) It establishes that the Primary Customs Zone is that part of the customs territory enabled for the execution of operations in which special rules apply for the circulation of people and the movement and disposal of goods. It includes premises, facilities, warehouses, squares and other places where these activities are carried out. It is in this physical space where operations of reception, storage and mobilization of goods are carried out, as well as everything related to foreign trade, where Customs has full control.
