The National Customs Directorate of Paraguay enabled this Wednesday (23.11.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the city of Villeta (Central Department) the first scanning center, with a capacity to control more than 100 containers/hour, reported official sources.
The inaugurated center will allow the analysis of containers and bulk cargo moved through Safe River Port, Terport and the state port of the National Administration of Navigation and Ports (ANNP) respectively, according to the DNA statement.
Along these lines, he pointed out that Customs plans to open a similar center in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso in the next two weeks, also from the Central Department, in order to further strengthen the registration of cargo destined for Europe.
Authorities welcomed the investment in technology for this purpose and explained that from today, containers leaving Paraguay will be monitored in real time until they reach their destination.
