The National Executive Branch authorized YPF Sociedad Anónima (YPF) to export natural gas to Chile up to a maximum of 3.500.000 m3/day, through the resolution 277/2019 from the Energy Government Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance.
The measure published in the Official Gazette this Monday (20.5.2019) indicates that the gas destined for sale comes from the El Portón and/or Loma La Lata – Sierra Barrosa Areas, located in the Neuquina Basin.
The authorization will be valid until 06:00 hours on April 30, 2020, or until the total maximum amount equivalent to the authorized daily export volume is completed for the number of days of validity of this authorization since its granting, whichever occurs first.
The planned supplies to Chile may be interrupted in order to guarantee the security of supply to the domestic market.
