Through the Decree No. 486/2025 The National Executive Branch created a new "Temporary Special Execution Unit» to continue the operation of the Argentine Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCEA), a system that simplifies and digitizes procedures for importing, exporting, or transporting goods in transit.
This new unit, which will depend on the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Economy, It replaces the one created in 2017, which had a specific term that has already expired or is about to expire.. It will be responsible for administering the regime and ensuring its operation until December 31, 2026, or until the established objectives are met.
With the purpose of “ensure the implementation and administration of the regime”This new entity will be responsible for digitally managing import, export, and transit procedures for goods.
The decree also reorganizes roles and hierarchies Within this new unit, it establishes a structure headed by a Project Director with the rank of Undersecretary, accompanied by technical positions specializing in processes, systems, regulatory affairs, and continuous improvement.
The creation of this unit is part of the quest for "a more efficient and coordinated public administration, with resources allocated to ensure its proper functioning during the established period," according to the official text.
This decree is effective immediately.
