The national government has suspended the export of iron and steel waste for 360 days, considering that it can be reused in industry in the country's recovery process.
El decree 84874 / 2017, published this Thursday (26.10.2017) in the Official Gazette, establishes that "non-ferrous metal waste constitutes essential raw material for the development of the industry."
In the same sense, he analyzes that "for structural reasons our country lacks a fluid supply of iron and steel scrap, which is why the processors of said goods see the supply of said input affected for their normal development."
The measure is signed by President Mauricio Macri, Marcos Peña, Francisco Cabrera and Nicolás Dujovne.
