AFIP increases the amount to request data from end consumers to 10.000 pesos

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) raised the amount for which merchants are required to record the buyer's data on their receipts from $5.000 to $10.000, while also establishing that from 2020 this amount will have two updates per year.

This is established by the General Resolution 4444/2019 published this Thursday (28.3.2019) in the Official Gazette, whose text indicates that merchants must record on their receipts the buyer's last name and first name, an address, DNI number and CUIT or CUIL number.

Indicates that annual updates, amounts in operations with final consumers will be updated in January and July of each year, according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

These updates, which will be effective from January 2020, will be reported semi-annually in the website of the organization.

For operations that are not carried out through electronic means of payment, the obligation remains at $5.000.

Furthermore, these amounts will not apply to sales made by registered persons whose main activity is wholesale marketing.

These modifications to General Resolution No. 1.415 will come into force on May 2, 2019.
