Import Licensing Provisions Rectified

The Ministry of Productive Development, through the Undersecretariat of Commercial Policy and Management, proceeded to rectify part of Provision 29/2020, modifying Annexes III, IV and V, in order to correct what the same body warns as an involuntary material error, through the Provision 30/2020.

The regulations, published this Thursday (29.10.2020/29/20) in the Official Gazette, states in the recitals "That, through Provision No. 2020 dated October 523, 17 of the Undersecretariat of Commercial Policy and Management of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and External Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development, Annexes II, III, VIII, X and XI were replaced (respectively, Annexes I to V of the Provision), and Annex XII was deleted, all of the aforementioned Resolution No. XNUMX/XNUMX of the former Secretariat of Commerce."

Also that "due to an involuntary material error incurred at the time of preparing Annexes III, IV and V of the aforementioned Provision, tariff items 7307.19.20 and 7307.93.00 (Annex III); 4013.20.00 (Annex IV); and 9603.90.00 (Annex V), all of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM), were deleted from the spreadsheets that comprise them."

In the same sense, "in the aforementioned Annex V, the incorporation of the tariff items of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM) 3506.91.20 and 3506.91.90 was also omitted."

In view of this, the new provision has provided: “Article 1°.- Annexes III, IV and V of Provision No. 29 are hereby replaced. dated October 20, 2020 of the Undersecretariat of Commercial Policy and Management of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development, by Annexes I, II and III, as “IF-2020-72668262-APN-DIMP#MDP, IF-2020-72668812-APN-DIMP#MDP and IF-2020-72668669-APN-DIMP#MDP, respectively, form an integral part of this measure.”

Given that this is a rectification, it has been arranged that the This provision is effective from October 22, 2020, effective date of the provision.
