With the Resolution 5288 / 2022, the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) announced the new regime for the import and export of goods by companies authorized as Postal/Courier Service Providers, in accordance with operational guidelines that AFIP itself has considered for this purpose.
According to the regulations, published this Wednesday (16.11.2022/5.260/2022) in the Official Gazette, this update is given within the framework of a request from the Argentine SME industrial association, who presented a reconsideration of the values set by previous General Resolution No. XNUMX/XNUMX.
Accordingly, it has been resolved that those imports by this service that are intended for natural or legal persons, consisting of up to three (3) units of the same species and which do not presume commercial purpose, where the total weight of the shipment is up to fifty kilograms (50 kg) and the FOB value of the goods consigned to the same recipient does not exceed one thousand United States dollars (USD 1.000.-) per flight.
In the event that the merchandise to be imported is destined for operators registered in the "MiPyME Business Registry", within the framework of Law No. 24.467 and its amendments, and it involves inputs and merchandise necessary to promote the production of those goods inherent to the productive sector, it will be extended to USD3.000.
In addition, this type of shipment can only be used up to five times a year.
Precisely, this measure for immediate application was announced by the head of the CustomsGuillermo Michel, yesterday at the 3rd Industrial Congress of the National Consensus on Labor and Production.
