The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) informs operators of a new operating system linked to dangerous goods, through the General Resolution 5224/2022.
In its grounds, the regulation published this Monday (04.07.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, determines that "given the experience gathered regarding the lack of space for the safe storage and handling of dangerous goods, it is convenient to implement a new optional procedure that allows the acceleration of the transfers of such goods through the computerization of the processes and the required communications."
A specific destination for this type of merchandise has therefore been considered to facilitate its control.
For this reason, the regulations indicated have provided: “Establish andThe procedure for registration and processing in the MALVINA Computer System (SIM) of the import operations of dangerous merchandise that arrive in the customs territory, in accordance with the provisions of Section III, Title II, Chapter IV of the Customs Code, which is recorded in the Annex I (IF-2022-01088514-AFIP-SGDADVCOAD#SDGCTI) which is approved and forms part of this document.”
It adds that "operators must observe the guidelines contained in the external user manual published on the "Foreign Trade Operators" microsite of the Federal Public Revenue Administration website (https://www.afip.gob.ar).
The decision highlights that it is a elective procedure and only for dangerous goods subscribed in the tariff items 3604.10.00 and 3604.90.90.
