For the sixth consecutive year and with a massive turnout, the ENAPRO International Conference has established itself as the main Port Event in the Region.
Next August 23 and under the motto SMART PORTS: PORTS OF THE FUTURE AND EXPERIENCES IN INNOVATION, a new edition of the International Conference organized by ENAPRO will take place, bringing together the national and international port community, specialists, operators and members of the industry, in order to address the issues that are on the sector's agenda.
"In times of Industry 4.0 and the phenomenal impact of new technologies, our port is joining the paradigm shift and is supported by the construction of the Port Community, in which it has been actively working. This is a new opportunity to renew the sense of joint work and reflect on relevant advances and experiences that we have carefully selected to create an event with innovative characteristics that have a positive impact on participants.”, he raises Angel Elias, President of ENAPRO, who leads this annual call.
To welcome the event he will be accompanied by the Undersecretary of Ports, Waterways and Merchant Marine, Mariano Saul; the Mayor of the Municipality of Rosario, Monica Fein and the Governor of the Province of Santa Fe, Miguel Lifschitz.
The opening conference will be given by the international consultant for the SELA (Latin American and Caribbean Economic System) Digital and Collaborative Port Network Program. Luis Ascencio Careño, who will present the challenges facing the region in terms of Port Digitalization.
Completing the morning, Latin American experiences in Smart Ports will be presented with the participation of Gonzalo Davagnino, General Manager of Valparaíso Port Company, Mariela Gutarra Ramos, Head of the Information Technology Office of the National Port Authority of Peru, and Marcio Mateus, IT Manager and Regional Project Manager at DP World.

In the afternoon, a round table consisting of Matias Urbieta, Sales Manager of Flux IT Ports Argentina; Julian Luna, CEO & Founder of South Point Engineering of the United States, and Eduardo Sanchis, Director of INFOPORT of Spain, will discuss the different ICT solutions for ports to be more efficient in their operations, taking advantage of new trends in digitalization and technology in the sector.
Next, it will be the turn of the panel “Argentine Ports and Innovation Planning” by Roberto Triay Cuestas, Commercial Manager of Exolgan Container Terminal; Martin Hagelstrom (h), Blockchain Leader for IBM America.
The closing ceremony will be attended by the President and Vice President of the Argentine Port Council, Mr. Angel Elias y Gonzalo Mórtola, who also head the Port of Rosario and Buenos Aires, respectively, together with the Minister of Production of Santa Fe Alicia Ciciliani.
