Registration is now open for a new edition of the Diploma in Customs Law from the Catholic University of Córdoba

A new edition of the Diploma in Customs Law opens at the Catholic University of Córdoba (Argentina). From today (21.02.2024) the course is available registration to the course, which can be done via the web by entering this link.

On this occasion, the university degree will have the academic direction by Drs. Pablo Sebastián Borgna and Juan Pablo Rizzi, both Customs Law Specialists from the ECAE PTN.  

Dr. Pablo Sebastián Borgna is a career Customs official and has worked as a legal representative for the Customs for more than a decade, serving in the three legal divisions of the Judicial Department (Criminal Cases, Tax Cases and Contentious Cases), currently holding the position of Head of that Department. On the other hand, Dr. Juan Pablo Rizzi, a leading expert in the field, has worked in the public sector (Federal Justice) and currently heads as a partner the Law Firm “Centarti & Rizzi Abogados”, specialized in customs matters.

Virginia Edith Alapont and Juan Manuel Francia, also lawyers who served as Customs Tax Representatives for years, with Dr. Virginia Edith Alapont currently being the “Firm in Charge” of the Judicial Department and Dr. Juan Manuel Francia being the Director of the Ezeiza Customs and Director of the Customs Law Institute of the Public College of Lawyers of the Federal Capital.

La academic proposal It provides for the participation of leading specialists in Customs Law, from both the public and private sectors.  

Indeed, among the leading specialists of the private sector, classes will be taught by Dr. Guillermo Coronel (Guifecor Attorneys), Dr. María Laura Bacigalupo (Bruchou & Funes de Rioja), Dr. Juan Patricio Cotter (Petersen & Cotter Moine), Dr. Francisco Menéndez (FJ Menéndez Attorneys), Dr. Enrique Barreira (BRSV Attorneys), Dr. Facundo Sarrabayrouse (Roca & Sarrabayrouse Attorneys), Dr. Guillermo Vidal Albarracín (Durrieu Attorneys), Dr. Juan Antonio Stupenengo (Beccar Varela Law Firm) and Dr. Alfonso Mingo Jozami (Marotta & Jozami Attorneys and General Manager of the Navigation Center), among many others.

Gonzalez, Eduardo Cuello, Juan Bernabe Araoz, Carlos Monzo, Santiago Dulce, Josefina Silva Risso, Maria Teresa Rivas, Diego Andrejin, Hector Manuel Guaraz and Raul Bustos Cara.

The Diploma is structured on the basis of modules which develop customs matters from beginning to end... it begins with the basic aspects of customs law (from the basic concept of merchandise), covering the different destinations, operational issues and special customs regimes, to end with the legal regime (administrative procedure or procedures before Customs, their appeals and review instances up to the Supreme Court of Justice; and also includes a specific module on Economic Criminal Law).

Additionally, the postgraduate training presents a Customs and Perspective module. Gender.

Just like additional element To other similar courses, it should be added that the Diploma has the participation of outstanding Customs brokers, such as Mr. Marcelo Ravida (from the Customs Brokers Center), who will provide an enriching operational approach for legal professionals, graduates and accountants.    

A further plan is also planned international panel, where Brazilian specialists Drs. Cláudio A. Gonçalves Pereira, Raquel Segalla Reis and Leonardo CL Macedo will speak; as well as the President of the International Academy of Customs Law (ICLA), Dr. Andrés Rohde Ponce (from Mexico).
