By Resolution 3 / 2022 of the AFIP-DGA, it has been resolved to grant an extension to the operation of the Provisional Operational Customs Zone of Río Gallegos, in the province of Santa Cruz, for the term of three hundred and sixty (360) days from the expiration of the period established by Resolution No. 15 (DGA) of November 9, 2020.
This area has been in operation under a provisional modality since November 2020, for a period originally established of 360 days. However, given that the infrastructure works necessary for the Customs Service to properly exercise control have not been completed, its operational continuity is deemed necessary for the control of operations on means of transport to and from the Special Customs Area.
This property has permanent ground maintenance, electrical supply, lighting and a warehouse/ship where the scanner truck used by the customs service is located for the control and verification of the entry and exit of merchandise, as well as the means by which it is transported.
In order to ensure continuity of customs control and the works for the definitive installation, an extension of the provisional authorization of the Río Gallegos Customs Operational Zone, located on National Route No. 3, in the city of Río Gallegos, province of Santa Cruz, is granted.
