The creativity of Argentine startups knows no bounds, and their innovations were presented on Monday (05.09.2023) in a new space in the City of Buenos Aires, which was designed to integrate the meeting of all relevant actors in the innovation ecosystem and promote sustainable economic growth.
In this public area known as the Innovation Park, which opened last May, the City Government presented 34 selected projects by an evaluation committee following the call promoted by the +54 Lab.
+54 Lab is one of the first projects that the Government of the City of Buenos Aires has launched in the Innovation Park. It is a coworking building for scientific and technological ventures that is being developed in the heart of the park, and also offers them a network of local and international allies to support them in the growth of their projects.
In the Innovation Park, startups that advanced to the stage of demoday They shared their initiatives that help regenerate opportunities in new markets, for example, in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, services, among others.
But what are the extraordinary startups selected like? We have drawn up a portrait of some young companies that have established themselves in recent years with promising products.
Exponential technology: In Argentina, the research and development company AlgoLABS.ai provides services and operates in the field of artificial intelligence, creating fully automated, data-driven solutions. This innovation could improve the industrial processes of medium-sized companies on their already installed infrastructures. The company has an expansion strategy with a global focus.
Nanotechnology: the start-up Microgenesis SAU is transforming the world of fertility with its innovative diagnostic tests and personalized treatments. The company has developed a unique approach that combines advanced diagnostics with personalized nutritional plans.
Biotechnology: the company New Organs Biotech developed a method for transplanting animal organs (pigs) into humans. A scientific milestone in xenotransplantation.

Agri-food: in Tucumán, the start-up Puna Bio is dedicated to developing agricultural solutions based on extremophile microorganisms obtained in La Puna, "the highest and driest salt flat on the planet," to enhance crops.
Universities are also present
In this context, an Urban Mobility Research Platform developed by the Park together with the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA) to advance the analysis of autonomous, intelligent and sustainable mobility and its future viability in the City.
This innovation refers to a mode in which the vehicle circulates without human intervention, although there are different levels depending on the degree of autonomy they have. In the case presented, the autonomy is level 3 (an operator is present in the device without intervening). The device is equipped with sensors, cameras, radars, navigation systems and advanced software that allow it to detect its environment, make decisions in real time and move safely along predefined or programmed routes, totally and substantially relieving the driver.

This is an active proposal in various cities around the world, which can be implemented for study in the Innovation Park because it is an area where the Sandbox law is applied. In other words, a set of rules that create a space where different technology companies, through various programs, can develop and test their products.
Y A final note/reminder for those living in the City: The Immersive Center will be inviting residents next weekend with immersive shows selected by the Ministry of Culture for the Central Dome. Educational proposals presented by the Ministry of Education on gaming and programming, among other technical training, will be developed in the classroom-domes.
