The Argentine Institute of Customs Law (IAEA) will present the Wednesday December 13 "Integration Law", a book by renowned Argentine jurist Ricardo Xavier Basaldúa. The event will take place at the Customs Brokers Center (Defense 302, City of Buenos Aires), at 17.30 hrs. La presentation The work will be led by Doctors Enrique C. Barreira and Héctor Guillermo Vidal Albarracín.

El Dr. Ricardo Xavier Basaldúa, a university professor, served as a member and President of the National Tax Court. Before assuming the magistracy, the author was Director of Customs Technique at the Ministry of Economy. In addition, he was Argentine delegate to the Permanent Technical Committee of the Customs Cooperation Council and former president of said Committee. He was also co-editor of the National Customs Code. His works on customs law, MERCOSUR and integration have had an important impact in the Latin world, where he is considered one of the most respected legal professionals. 

This edition of his book in Spanish was published in digital format by Abeledo Perrot. You have 928 pages and is prologued by Dr. Andrés Rohde Ponce, President of the International Academy of Customs Law.

The Topics The topics addressed in this work are framed in fundamental questions to understand the theory of integration in its true dimension. It begins with an “Introduction” that considers the historical context, continuing with a “General Part” in which the phenomenon of integration and the different modalities in which it is manifested are analyzed in depth, as well as the Law of integration, the discipline that regulates them. It is in the “Second Part”, called “Special”, where the integration processes corresponding to the European Union, the Central American Common Market, the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), the Andean Community, MERCOSUR and the Free Trade Agreement between Canada, the United States of America and Mexico (T-MEC) are considered in particular. Each of the ten chapters that make up the work is completed with a vast bibliography cited in them. Finally, an alphabetical index facilitates the search for the institutions and issues addressed.
