Following a complaint from AFIP, the Justice Department raided a transportation company for aggravated tax evasion of $30 million

-

Following a complaint from the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP), the Court ordered the search of several homes in the Buenos Aires town of San Nicolás for aggravated tax evasion of 30 million pesos.

The scheme by the transport company Di Grazia Hermanos consisted of using false documentation during 2016 and 2017 to simulate non-existent purchase transactions or those for a considerably higher value, in order to deduct them from VAT, income tax and undocumented transactions.

More than 20 million pesos were evaded using this method. In addition, the payment of other tax obligations amounting to almost nine million pesos was simulated.

Following the AFIP complaint, the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of San Nicolás ordered a search of several addresses linked to the companies Di Grazia Hemanos SRL; Di Grazia Silvo and Di Grazia Gibarto Soc de facto and Doña Cheleta SA. Computer equipment and accounting material of vital importance to the case were seized.
