The National Customs Directorate (DNA) of Paraguay announced this Thursday (28.12.2022) the construction of one of the most modern engineering works on the shores of Lake Itaipú. The building will be built with the institution's own resources.
The planned investment is 3.678 million guaraníes, according to DNA.
The complex is being built on a six-hectare site to meet the growing trade with Brazil. The first block will be used as a customs processing center and the second will be the housing sector for officials.
According to DNA, the complex It will be completed in February 2023 to improve the landscape and services provided to trade operators.
It should be noted that the Guairá-Mundo Novo border crossing is the second most important link in road trade between Paraguay and Brazil.
