The National Executive Branch formalized changes in the leadership of the Temporary Special Implementing Unit “Argentine National Single Window Regime for Foreign Trade (VUCEA)”, dependent on the Ministry of Economy.
This is established by the Decree 329 / 2026Published on May 8, 2026, accepting the resignation of Dr. María Eugenia Rodríguez Campos, who served as Project Director of VUCEA, and appointing Ms. Fabiola Cochello as the new Project Director, as of March 1, 2026, with a rank equivalent to undersecretary.
The VUCEA scheme is framed within article 10.4 of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, which promotes the implementation of Single Windows for the integrated management of foreign trade documentation, a guideline incorporated by Argentina.
To that end, the process began with Decree 1079/2016, which created the Single Window for Foreign Trade, and continued in 2017 with Decree No. 416, which established the VUCEA Implementation Unit for its implementation.
Its main objectives include simplifying processes, reducing costs and times in foreign trade, improving access to information, strengthening the institutional capacity of the participating organizations, and ensuring interoperability with international platforms.
The VUCEA has been operational since 2018. Since then, the system has undergone progressive improvements and, in 2024, incorporated the new Procedures Portal and the integration of operating systems linked to foreign trade.
