The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) made official this Friday (10.05.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX) the implementation of the “Single Customs Management System” (SUGA), which seeks the simplification and harmonization of procedures. It did so through the Provision 43/2024 published in the Official Gazette.
With this determination, AFIP has launched SUGA, “a tool that allows for the unified, efficient and coordinated management of administrative and judicial actions and customs operational procedures that are processed before the dependent areas.”
According to the foundations of the norm, "the intensive use of information and communication technologies (ICT) constitutes a strategic and permanent objective of this Federal Administration, by virtue of the potential that it offers to consolidate, among other management criteria, a 'Customs without papers''.
Focusing on this strategic objective, the AFIP explains that the new data registration system provides “traceability to actions, increasing certainty, efficiency and transparency in their management,” which will result in “better service to those affected.”
SUGA will be implemented “gradually" at all customs in the country.
For this purpose, the user manual for each module and its adjustments will be available on the Intranet page of this Agency (https://intranet.afip.gob.ar/portal/datosUtiles/).
The General Directorate of Customs will dictate such complementary regulations for the implementation of the single system, in order to meet goals that guarantee greater security and real facilitation of trade.
