Importers and exporters of the Argentine Republic renew authorities of their association

-

The Association of Importers and Exporters of the Argentine Republic (AIERA) announced that, at its General Assembly, the members renewed their authorities by forming a new Board of Directors that will have Guillermo Stephanus as president of the institution, for the period that extends until April 2025.

At the meeting, Stephanus thanked the previous administration and said: “The main objective of our entity is to promote the development of Argentine foreign trade, especially SME exports with added value through the promotion of industrial production and the substitution of imports of capital goods, an essential basis for strengthening the export capacity of Argentine SMEs.”

"This is the commitment we have made since our founding and which all members of the Board of Directors renew today," the director stressed.

 Board of Directors

Stephanus will be accompanied on the board of directors by Luis Duarte as vice president. Patricia Ballester will serve as secretary and Natalia Pereira as deputy secretary. Juan Carlos Pereyra and Ezequiel Grosso will serve as treasurer and deputy treasurer, respectively.

The regular members are Horacio Consolo, Daniel Solda, Gabriela Hermosid, Carolina Pereyra and Santiago Solda.

Daniel Meilinger and Pablo Strauss will serve on the Audit Committee.

AIERA was founded in 1966 as a business association made up of small and medium-sized national companies, as well as regional and sectoral chambers. The companies that make up the institution are nationally owned and carry out activities related to imports and/or exports.

Representing the most varied sectors and considering producers and service providers in foreign trade, AIERA is a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade (formerly Fundación Export.Ar). It is also part of the Customs Advisory Council and the Economic and Social Advisory Forum of MERCOSUR – FCES. Additionally, it maintains a series of reciprocal cooperation agreements with similar institutions from the rest of the world.
