La tax collection increased in February to $2,1 trillion, a figure that implies an increase of 82,3% compared to the same month last year, driven by taxes associated with the domestic market and employment, the Ministry of Economy reported on Wednesday (01.03.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX).
According to the portfolio, most of the tributes presented interannual variations above the average: IVA (106,1%), Social Security System (103,2%), Credits y debits in current account (101,1%), COUNTRY TAX(95,1%), Personal property (94,5%) and Earnings (91,4%).
Meanwhile, below average were Import Duties and Statistical Tax (47,9%), Total Fuels(37,5%) and Export Duties (-55,9%).
"The collection in February would have grown by 109% compared to the same month in 2022," said the Ministry of Economy if it had not been for the decrease in income from export and import duties and the statistical rate, which is the customs component of IVA y Earnings that are collected from imports.
The portfolio explained that the Export Duties were reduced by 55,9% compared to February 2022 due to lower volumes recorded in the Affidavits of Foreign Sales (DJVE) corresponding mainly to wheat and soybean derivatives, due to the effect of the drought and the end of the Export Increase Program -o soybean dollar– which led to an advance in exports that are usually settled during these months.
Instead, he explained that the IVA grew 106,1% in February compared to the same month last year, an increase that was positively influenced by the component of IVATax, which increased even more, by 138%.
The tax on property also grew above average. Credits y debits in current account, 101,1%.
