To this end, more than 50 service providers presented innovative technological solutions, highlighting their potential to transform and optimize customs processes globally.
During the closing ceremony, Cláudia Thomaz, Undersecretary of Customs Administration of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, highlighted the essential role of international cooperation and technology in customs modernization. In his speech, which was broadcast on social media, he outlined three strategic pillars to address current challenges: a guiding approach that encourages voluntary compliance and a collaborative relationship with taxpayers, smart transformation through the use of big data analysis to optimize decision-making and risk identification, and enhanced public security that uses technology to combat organized crime and money laundering. Thomaz underlined the support of the World Customs Organization (WCO), led by Ian Saunders, and thanked the participation of public, private and sponsoring sectors.

In addition, she highlighted a fourth pillar focused on diversity and gender equality, promoting a more inclusive and representative Federal Revenue.

He also extended special thanks to the WCO team, whose hard work and planning had resulted in a high-level and flawlessly executed programme, and to all the conference sponsors and participants for their invaluable contribution to the success of the event.
