The AFIP established the Complementary Information Regime for International Operations (RICOI), through the General Resolution 5306/2022 published today (27.12.2022) in the Official Gazette.
The RICOI aims to "Carry out an effective assessment and management of compliance risks in international tax matters"the organization stressed.
In this way, this measure will allow AFIP to have online control over international operations carried out by large companies, and replaces the National and International Tax Planning Information Regime for “tax administration reasons” that advised its replacement.
The RICOI replaces the National and International Tax Planning Information Regime, which also covered all legal and natural persons. Now, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, Section I and II, are expressly exempt in all their categories.
According to a statement issued by the AFIP, under the new system, taxpayers must submit their information after the expiration of their income tax return.
To do so, they must log in with Tax Code Level 3 to the web service “Supplementary Information Regime for International Operations”. The subjects affected are companies and associations and their derivative firms established in the country, as well as those derived from trusts established here.
The provisions of the regulations come into force immediately and They will be applicable for the presentation of information corresponding to fiscal years closed as of August 1st., according to the official text.
