Customs adds inspection tools and simplifies procedures for exporters of agricultural products

-

The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) ordered the automatic settlement of tax obligations corresponding to the export of agricultural products, through the General Resolution 4977/2021 published this Wednesday (28.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette.

The modification implemented by the agency that depends on the AFIP simplifies the procedures for exporting companies, and allows the DGA to optimize its inspection and control tools.

The legislation modifies the current system, in which exporters of products “self-assessed” the taxes once the Declaration of Foreign Sales (DJVE) was submitted.

This mechanism, now replaced, implied that in each operation the exporter had to calculate the corresponding taxes and wait for verification by Customs.

With the information provided by the exporter, The Malvinas Computer System of the DGA will automatically calculate the taxes and generate the settlement in a systemic manner.

The measure involves the development of instruments that, in addition to optimising specific customs functions, promote competitiveness and facilitate foreign trade, without losing sight of controls and risk management.

The export of agricultural products covered by Law 21.453 requires prior authorization from the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Markets of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is carried out through DJVE.

The regulations of Customs introduces the automatic calculation and generation of the settlement for export duties and incentives at the time of registration of the declaration of sales abroad.

The provisions of this Resolution come into effect effective immediately.
