The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) has decided to modify the reference export values for a variety of must and eighteen types of shrimp, a measure aimed at dismantling commercial irregularities detected and investigated in the external sales of such products, according to the official source.

Thus, the General Resolution 5256/2022, published this Friday (09.09.2022) in the Official Gazette, set a reference price of $1,45 for the export of concentrated must, except in immediate packagings of net content less than or equal to 11.

This reference value applies to goods destined for Canada and the United States. It also applies to Nigeria, South Africa, Israel, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic. Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela are also included. Among the European countries, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Germany are listed. On the other hand, Middle Eastern countries are mentioned: Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, and Syria. As for the Asian group, Korea, China, the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, and Hong Kong are listed.

In the case of Prawns, the Joint Resolution 5257/2022 established new benchmark prices between USD 5,06 and USD 6,93, depending on each variety.

The following markets are described as being the markets where this product is sold: Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany. With the reference value for such goods, Customs seeks to strengthen its capacity to supervise foreign trade and prevent under-invoicing maneuvers in sales abroad.
