The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) established criteria values for the importation of a toy set and updated the reference prices of the current product listthrough General Resolution 5050/2021
The regulation, published this Thursday (12.08.2021) in the Official Gazette, indicates that the criterion values constitute an important tool to combat tax evasion and under-invoicing practices in import operations.
The measure of the authority that regulates customs clearance was applied after risk assessment tasks, a study referring to the value of the merchandise impacted by this regulation, plus work with representatives of the sector's chambers.
It was noted that the new prices allow for the detection of deviations from the usual values for identical or similar goods.
The criterion values for toys were defined for imports from countries in Group 4: China, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
The criterion values are added to the reference values for different products set by Customs, which are for the case of exports.
