Online registration for the export of fresh citrus fruit to different destinations with quarantine restrictions is available until December 14, reported the National Service for Food Safety and Quality (Senasa).
Free via TAD
Registration is free and mandatory via Remote Procedures (TAD) for export to the following destinations:
- European Union
- United States (Northwest lemon lots only)
- China (sweet citrus only)
- Philippines (orange lots only)
- South Korea
- Mexico (lemon only)
- Brazil
- Chile (orange lots only)
- Colombia
- Japan (lemon only)
“The incorporation of this procedure in TAD reduces the time that exporters spend on the process. Part of the documentation that was presented at the office needed certification from a notary or from the bank. Now, by attaching it to TAD, it is not necessary, so it represents a saving in time and costs,” explained Diego Abaigar, from the Phytosanitary Certification Directorate of Senasa.
5 steps
There are five steps that TAD users must take:
1.Login to TAD
2.Search for the procedure
3.Scan and attach proof of registration in the Registration of importers/exporters and a copy of the company's articles of incorporation.
4.Complete the fields with the data requested by the National Registry of Exporters of Fresh Citrus Fruit to the European Union.
5.The user can track the process through TAD and finally receive the certificate by email.
