At midnight on Wednesday (12.12.2018) there was a small fire in an office on the 6th floor of the AFIP headquarters, in Buenos Aires. 

The incident damaged some furniture and a computer, although it did not affect the informationn that was on his hard drive, the entity's statement said.

Firefighters and specialized personnel from the organization acted quickly to extinguish the fire. Preliminary investigations determined that it was an electrical fault.

Records

Copies of court records which are processed in the administrative litigation court, were in the office. However, the originals were not affected, since they are in the corresponding courts.

False alarm

Following the smell that persisted for several hours after the incident, a new investigation was recently carried out false alarm regarding a new fire, The text states. According to protocol, firefighters and ambulances returned to the building and confirmed that there was no fire.
