The National Customs Service detected and seized four bags with 74 kilos 800 grams of coca leaves and a suitcase with 300 pills at the Quillagua outpost (Tarapacá Region), thanks to the use of non-invasive technology, official sources reported.
According to the statement from the Chilean Customs, the bags with the Coca leaves They were in the cabin of a Bolivian truck traveling from Arica to Mejillones to load oil. They were the property of the passenger, who indicated that she had to deliver them to a merchant in Antofagasta.
After that and during the inspection of a private car, a suitcase was identified with 300 pills of Phentermine Hydrochloride under the name Elvenir.

Its owner said that she bought the medicine at a street market in Arica and that she did not have a prescription, so it was seized because it is a product subject to psychotropic control.
Both cases were brought to the attention of the Public Prosecutor on duty, Virginia Aravena, who instructed the steps to follow and the support of the police on duty for the transfer of the accused, the species and the evidence.
