Spain and Uruguay highlight the importance of the MERCOSUR-EU agreement

Referring to the historical ties between the two countries, he noted: “Our relationship is intense and is also based on the memory of thousands of Spaniards who made Uruguay their home.".

And he concluded: “Let us never forget where we come from or what we were, because that defines who we are and where we want to go as a society.".
