First shipment of lemons to the US will leave Rosario

-

The first shipment of Argentine lemons to the United States will depart from Puerto Rosario next Thursday (20.4.2018).

The important news was announced by the manager of the Rosario Port Terminal (TPR), Diego Fernández, on Monday (16.4.2018) in the radio program "La primera de la tarde".

"That's right, after the news about the opening of the United States market for Argentine lemons, the first container leaves and the port chosen for that operation is our city (Rosario).", he summarized Fernandez.

The manager stressed that “Rosario, from a logistical point of view, is the most efficient port for the production of lemons in Tucumán. We have been working on this for a long time because the loading of lemons requires relevant knowledge and important logistics to guarantee the quality of the product”-

He explained that “The shipment arrives in Rosario by truck from Tucumán", however, "It will probably be possible to bring it by rail in the future.".

This is “a very important milestone, it is the beginning of the development of a new market. In the future it means more work and more connectivity,” concluded Diego Fernandez.
