The Argentine Institute of Customs Studies renews its Board of Directors

The Argentine Institute of Customs Studies (IAEA) has renewed its Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term. The election took place during the Annual meeting of December 11th in the City of Buenos Aires, with the unanimous support of the members present.

The new Board of Directors is chaired by Guillermo Vidal AlbarracínDr. Vidal Albarracín, a lawyer and specialist in Criminal Law (Austral University), professor of Customs Criminal Law, author of books and articles, and partner at Durrieu Abogados in charge of the Customs Criminal Law Department. succeeds Dr. Mateo McCormack, after a two-year tenure.

He is accompanied by:

  • Secretary: Rufino Beccar Varela
  • Assistant Secretary: Andrés Galíndez
  • Vice-Chairman 1º: Enrique Carlos Barreira
  • Vice-Chairman 2º: Patricia Feliciano
  • Treasurer: Jorge Rodríguez Larreta
  • Assistant Treasurer: Facundo Sarrabayrouse

Vowels: Juan Patricio Cotter, Juan Martín Jovanovich, Gustavo Müller, Mateo McCormack, Ana Sumcheski, Alfonso Mingo Jozami, Stella Maris Ruiz, María del Carmen Camelino, Francisco Menéndez and Juan Manuel Sarrabayrouse.

These recognized specialists in customs matters are in charge of the IAEA, which, with more than 50 years of experience since its creation in 1970, "has shown interest in the study of national and foreign customs regulations, especially in light of the new developments promoted by the World Customs Organization and the World Trade Organization, the new import and export techniques and procedures and the simplification of customs procedures, among other issues."
