The national government made official today (17.04.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) the list of agricultural products that will be able to access the Export Increase Program (PIE) for regional economies and access a differential exchange rate of 300 pesos from April 8 to August 30.
This is established by the Resolution 138 / 2023 of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, published in the Official Gazette, in whose annex it indicated the goods that may benefit from this exchange rate and whose tariff items They are included in the Sections of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM)
These are products derived from the wine-growing, olive-growing, bee-keeping, fishing, forestry-industry, wool-making activities, as well as the production of vegetables, garlic, tea, peanuts, tobacco, lemon, fruit (cherries, plums and blueberries) and special products such as popcorn, confectionery sunflowers and products that qualify as organic., biological or organic, duly certified and authorized by the competent body, in accordance with Law No. 25.127 and its regulations.
For such tariff items, the eligibility requirements are the following:
- having exported merchandise at any time during the 18 months immediately prior to the entry into force of Decree 194 dated April 9, 2023.
- maintain or increase the number of jobs registered under its authority during the validity of the PIE.
- supply the local market with the goods listed in the aforementioned annex, and must maintain or increase supply volumes.
- comply with the price agreements for the local market established in this regard by the Ministry of Commerce.
Likewise, the Undersecretariat of Food, Bioeconomy and Regional Development was instructed to Evaluate the update of the list of tariff items affected by the measure.
