The Government distributed the additional sugar quota for export to the United States

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, through the Resolution 134/2023 Published today (17.04.2023/2022/2023) in the Official Gazette, distributed the extra quota for raw sugar exports to the United States reassigned by this country for the XNUMX-XNUMX commercial cycle, which reaches a total of 12.111,31 tons.

For the period ending on September 30, the United States set a quota of 46.260 tons, which, after deducting the polarization margin, amounted to 44.178,3 tons, already distributed in December 2022 by the national agricultural portfolio.

Meanwhile, on March 14, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) formalized a reallocation of the raw sugar import tariff quota for fiscal year 2022/2023, and Argentina benefited from 12.682 extra tons, which after deducting this margin totals 12.111,31 tons, which are completed today.

According to the information provided in the annex to this regulation, the increase in the export quota included the following firms: Ledesma, with 4.281,63 tons; Concepción Sugar Complex, 2.565,41 tons; Prosal, 1.299,99 tons; Jose Minetti, 67,29 tons; Industrial Investment Company, 1.448,24 tons; Arcor, 856,91 tons; Rio Grande Sugar Mill, 32,59 tons; Ferma Agrobusiness SRL, 145,87 tons; Seabord Renewable Energy and Food SRL., 369,07 tons; Salta Soft Drinks369,07;  San Salvador Food Complex SA81,92; San Jeronimo Sugar Mill, 8,63 tons; Always green, 241,01 tons; Jose Minetti, 67,29 tons;  Delotte SA, 193,30 tons.
