The Government extended the suspension of meat exports Until 31 Octoberthrough Joint Resolution 7/2021.

The measure, signed by the Ministry of Productive Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, was published this Tuesday (31.08.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette.

The regulations' preamble explains that "in terms of prices, the impact of the measures that temporarily limited foreign sales has begun to show positive results. After two months of validity, prices have stabilised and even shown some decline in different links of the chain."

The explanation adds that “consequently it can be observed that the measures taken have fulfilled the objective of reducing the dynamics of prices.” In addition, it says: “although the structural solution to the tension between the external market and the internal market is linked to measures that allow increasing production, in the short term the tool of limiting sales abroad is essential to guarantee Argentines’ access to beef in the face of the sharp increase in prices for consumers.”
