The National Government extended the deadline to 60 days to issue a declaration of the Comprehensive Import Monitoring System (SIMI) that will be made available to the organizations comprising the Argentine National Single Window Regime for Foreign Trade, through the Joint General Resolution 5070/2021.
The regulations of the Ministry of Productive Development and the Secretariat of Industry and the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), published this Friday (17.09.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, indicate that The measure will be applicable to importers registered in the Special Customs Registers, provided for by General Resolution No. 2.570 (AFIP), its amendments and supplements, in relation to definitive import destinations for consumption.
On the other hand, the joint decision also affects other control agencies linked to the entry of products into the country, such as the National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa), the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat), the National Food Institute (INAL), among others. The implemented modification adapts the deadlines to the international standards of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and optimizes the application of the import monitoring system in order to improve the results that lead to its compliance.
This Joint General Resolution enters into force effective immediately.
