The Ministry of Agriculture distributed 28.765,758 tons for export of high-quality boneless chilled beef cuts, from the so-called Hilton Quota, assigned by the European Union (EU) to Argentina, for the period between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
He did it through the Resolution 141 / 2021, published this Wednesday (04.08.2021/28.765/623,242) in the Official Gazette, which specified that of the XNUMX tons assigned, it was determined that a balance of XNUMX tons will make up the Free Availability Fund.
The same was granted to the successful bidders Quickfood and Marfrig on the one hand, and Frigorífico Alberdi and Carnes Pampeanas on the other. On the other hand, the treatment of Economic Group for the purposes of determining the corresponding Hilton Quota tonnage.
Also I know approved the registration of companies authorized to export 111 tons within the tariff quota opened by the United Kingdom, for the period between July 1 and June 30, 2022.
The allocation of tonnage will be governed by the international criterion “first come, first served” according to the date of registration of the applications, to access the Certificate of Authenticity in the Export Quota Administration System.
The value of the average ton of Hilton Quota cuts is USD 10.000, so it is estimated that some US$ 287 million will enter the country.
For the industry category, 33 meat packing plants were selected, among which 24.983,056 tons were distributed.
The Patagonia Import and Export Corporation, known as La Anónima and owned by the Braun family, was the main beneficiary with 2.317,092 tons.
They are followed by Swift, with 2.100,786 tons; Friar, with 2.034,668; Quickfood, with 1.763,406; Gorina, with 1.668,362; Rioplatense, with 1.659,650; Carnes Pampeanas, with 1.398,815; Arrebeef, with 1.355,922; Compañía Bernal, with 1.263,631; Coto, with 1.189,351 and Ecocarnes, with 852,041.
The list includes Logros, with 845,435 tons; Frimsa, with 811,949; Marfrig, with 781,606; Rafaela Alimentos, with 686,844; Azul Natural Beef, with 678,197; Black Bamboo, with 675,005; Forres Beltrán, with 570,775; Frigorífico Alberdi, with 382,404; Cattermeat, with 292,685; Santa Giulia, with 270,154; and General Pico, with 247,862 tons.
Eleven meat packing companies close the Hilton export registry with quotas ranging from 50 to 217,874 tons.
For the category of joint projects, 28 associations of breeders and small and medium-sized rural establishments dedicated to livestock breeding were selected, among whom 2.682,703 tons were distributed.
In addition, the 1.000 tonnes for five new industries that have access to the quota for the first time were fully completed, as well as the 100 tonnes for another five new joint projects, including the provinces of Entre Ríos and Santiago del Estero.
In the Industry category, two freely available funds have been created to encourage beneficiaries to improve their skills and access higher export volumes.
In this sense, one of the funds corresponds to the provinces of the Pampas region, with 40% of the total, and the other 60% for the provinces outside the Pampas region and those further away from ports and logistics centres.
Currently it has been carried out 11% of the quota with the EU in the form of advances, the same percentage as certified in July 2020 and 2,5 percentage points above the theoretical annual average.
