The national government has implemented the instrumentation of the Derived Certificate of Origin, for those goods coming from MERCOSUR and States with Preferential Agreements, which during their transport and/or storage, use a special customs area, an export processing zone or a free zone, and may be subject to operations intended to ensure their marketing, conservation, fractionation into lots or volumes or other operations.
This is established by the Resolution 669 / 2021, published this Thursday (21.10.2021), whose text indicated that the Argentine Chamber of Free Trade Zone Concessionaires requested to be authorized to issue the certificates of origin derived from the Annex of Decision No. 33/15 of the Common Market Council of MERCOSUR. In response to this request, it was considered that the implementation of these benefits in force will imply better access and will allow for the traction of export activities in this area, benefiting the operations of foreign trade operators.
In view of this, the regulations of The Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development determined to enable the Argentine Chamber of Free Trade Zone Concessionaires, as an entity authorized to issue such Derivative Certificates of Origin.
The official text consists of 18 articles, among which are those that establish the implementation modality of this measure, which will come into effect from the day after its publication.
