The Government establishes changes in criteria for the distribution of the quota for exporting meat to the United States

-

The national Government has made changes to the general rules that must be met for the allocation and distribution of the tariff quota for boneless, fresh and chilled beef, as granted by the United States of America, which will apply to the commercial cycles included between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2024.

This is established by the Resolution 266 / 2021 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, published this Monday (13.12.2021) in the Official Gazette, whose text indicates that the measure comes from the fact that the The United States granted Argentina a annual tariff quota of twenty thousand tons (20.000 t) of boneless, fresh, chilled or frozen meat.

The recitals of the regulations state that it is appropriate to harmonize the parameters with those established for the Hilton quota in order to proceed to implement the allocation of tariff quotas in the best possible way.

The Resolution consists of three Annexes that complement the measure whose validity will be from the day December 14th 2021.
