The Director General of Customs (DGA), Silvia Traverso, indicated this Friday (09.101.2020) that one of its management axes is to alleviate the situation of the entire productive framework, especially for the SME sector.
"We are focusing our policies on generating the greatest possible relief for the entire productive sector, and in particular for SMEs," said Traverso during the opening of the Virtual Pyme Expo Centro Region, according to the Télam Agency.
Traverso, moreover, reviewed the actions that the AFIP and the DGA are carrying out to cushion the impact of the crisis, among which the moratorium promoted by the National Government stood out.
"The moratorium "It was specifically designed to provide financial relief to SMEs and generate a boost that will allow, together with various measures, to grow again," said Silvia Traverso.
One of the measures that helped companies in customs matters was to allow all exporting SMEs to postpone the payment of export duties through the export declarations.
"This was an additional relief for SMEs with pension or tax debts, since otherwise they would not have been able to access this benefit," he explained.
He also highlighted the "restoration of reference values» for export, a tool that seeks to avoid abusive under-invoicing maneuvers and, at the same time, prevent compliant taxpayers from being affected by unfair competition.
He also highlighted the process of reconfiguring tools and updating models and methodologies that the organisation has been carrying out.
"We have digitized various customs procedures to reduce operating costs and streamline foreign trade operations," he said.
