More meat plants around the world have suspended exports to China after facing outbreaks of the coronavirus among workers, according to a Chinese customs document on Friday (21.08.2020).
Below is the List of factories that recently suspended shipments to China, as well as others that have resumed business activities, posted on the website of the General Administration of Customs of China. The list also includes suspension of imports from some foreign meat producing plants..
June 18. A plant of the German food company Tönnies Group that has been hit by the new coronavirus suspends exports of pork products to China from June 17.
20-June. China suspends imports of frozen pork and products from Rosderra Irish Meats Group Ltd from 20 June.
June 21. China suspends imports of poultry products from a plant owned by U.S.-based meat processor Tyson Inc., which has been infected with the novel coronavirus since June 21.
June 23. The plant owned by Brazilian beef processor Agran suspends exports to China as of June 17.
23-June. Britain's largest pork processor Tulip is suspending pork exports to China from 17 June after some workers confirmed COVID-19.
June 27. Brazil's JBS Aves Ltda plant suspends exports of poultry and products to China as of June 26.
June 27. China suspends imports from a meat plant in Várzea Grande owned by Marfrig of Brazil from June 27.
June 28. The Frigorífico Rioplatense SAICIF plant, one of Argentina's main meat processors, suspends meat exports to China as of June 22.
June 28. China suspends imports of pork products from a plant owned by Danisch Crown Fleisch GmbH, Germany, a Danish feed subsidiary of processor Danish Crown.

17-August. The Ballymena plant of British pork producer Cranswick Country Foods is suspending pork exports to China from 13 August.
17-Aug. A plant of Canadian pork producer Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is suspending pork exports to China effective Aug. 6.
17-August. China resumes imports from three plants of German meat processor Tönnies Lebensmittel Gmb H & Co. KG from August 17.
18-August. China allows the import of poultry from Argentine poultry producer WADE SA The products must be accompanied by a hygiene certificate issued by the Argentine Veterinary Authority and an additional declaration.
18-August. China allows imports of meat from Argentine meat producers Frigorífico Rioplatense, Runfo SA, Frimsa SA and Que Rico SA. The products must be accompanied by a hygiene certificate issued by the Argentine Veterinary Authority and an additional declaration.
