The World Trade Organization (WTO) has opened online registration for the 2021 Public Forum, which offers participants the opportunity to discuss recent developments in global trade and propose ways to improve the multilateral trading system.
This year, the main theme of the Public Forum is “Trade after COVID-19: building resilience”. The event’s sub-themes are: “Enhancing resilience beyond COVID-19”, “Strengthening the multilateral trading system” and “Collective action towards sustainable trade”.
The WTO clarified that in light of the uncertainties and restrictions related to COVID-19, the situation will continue to be monitored to determine whether the Forum will be held virtually or in hybrid mode. In this regard, information will be shared in July.
