Agents of the National Service of Health and Agri-Food Quality (Senasa) inspected and certified the health and documentary status ofand 3.000 tons of brown rice (in bulk) exported on two barges from the dock of the Barranqueras Collection and Shipping Center (CAEB) in Chaco to Puerto Quijarro, Bolivia (border with Brazil), and then to Cochabamba, its final destination.

According to the official communication, the operation was carried out on May 21 and 22, 2018 in the port of the province of Chaco, where Senasa agents controlled the loading of the barges. This is the second export of Brown rice produced by the Puerto Las Palmas Group (in the Bermejo department) bound for Bolivia so far in 2018. The first occurred in April by land in two semi-trailers.

During the inspection, the agents of the Senasa monitored compliance with the phytosanitary requirements requested by the importing country and acted in accordance with the provisions of the Guide to Work Procedures for the inspection and certification of plant products for export, import and international transit (IASCAV Resolution No. 409/96).

Finally, the corresponding seals were placed to guarantee the inviolability of the cargo until it reaches its destination.
