Chaco: Cotton fiber exports to Türkiye certified

The National Service for Food Safety and Quality (Senasa) verified in Las Breñas, Chaco province, the sanitary and documentary status of 250 tons of cotton fiber produced in this province, which will be exported in the coming days to Turkey.

The control operation was carried out on Monday (28.5.2018), the statement said and details that the load, consisting of 1.100 bales of cotton fiber traveling in 10 semi-trailer trucks, was inspected by a professional from the Senasa Chaco-Formosa Regional Center who verified its sanitary condition, checked that the merchandise was covered by the Plant Transit Document (DTV) and placed the mandatory seal that guarantees the inviolability of the product until it reaches the Port of Buenos Aires from where it will be transferred, by sea, to Türkiye.

Exports in May

In May 2018, Senasa certified a total of XNUMX hectares in the province of Chaco. 835 tonnes of exported cotton fiber.

Of that total, 386 tons were sent from Las Breñas to Indonesia and 250 tons to Turkeyed while 198 tons were destined for Brazil and they left General Pinedo.
