Central America: New tool for companies to participate in virtual business meetings

-

Within the framework of its clear commitment to technological progress and trade facilitation, the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) has relaunched, with more technology and security, the  regional platform for greater information and business intelligence version 2.0 (REDCA.2.0) so that companies can participate in virtual business meetings.

The virtual tool is free to access and is aimed at people and businesses in the region that wish to interact with other economic actors in Central America and other areas of the world.

At the launch held this Thursday (25.02.2021), Desiree Garcia Flores, Executive Director SIECA, explained that “through strategic alliances with the public and private sectors of the region and international organizations, we make the information of 20.000 companies available in business meetings. Through the multiplatform we will be able to enable these business meetings simultaneously to people. Also, REDCA 2.0 offers a fresh image with simple and executive graphic lines.” And he clarified: “All the information entered into the REDCA platform version 2.0 will be protected, complete and accessible, in line with the SIECA security policy that has been certified in the Information Security Management System in 2021.”

According to him, the renewal of the virtual platform for commercial intelligence, developed by the Center for Economic Integration Studies (CEIE) of the General Secretariat of SIECA, is a potential that must be taken advantage of with confidence at this time.

In this regard, the Director of the CEIE of the SIECA, Eduardo Espinoza, he noted: “The renewal of the corporate image of REDCA 2.0 is supported by the quality standards and certifications of SIECA, which place us at the forefront of platform management with new services for users of Central American integration.”

And he detailed the characteristics: “It is a platform with the SIECA seal and free access launched within the framework of the SICA DIGITAL strategy, aimed at improving the way in which it operates and generating value for the Central American population.”

In addition, the tool is useful in order to access strategic information to negotiate in Central America, and a modern platform for conducting business online, which allows virtual business roundtables through virtual rooms, as well as participating in virtual fairs.

“Without a doubt, REDCA 2.0 is a pioneer in this type of space, accessible to more than 20000 companies in the region and around the world with which permanent contact can be maintained. This makes us the largest digital business directory in the Central American region,” Eduardo Espinoza stressed.

In line with the transformation process, accompanying the times that require firm and sustainable responses to facilitate international trade and economic recovery, the CEIE Director announced eight business roundtables confirmed for 2021 through REDCA, so that users can negotiate in Central America and around the world.
