Changes in the General Directorate of Customs

-

Guillermo Michel will be the new head of the General Directorate of Customs (DGA), replacing Silvia Traverso, the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) announced today.

The entity headed by Mercedes Marcó del Pont will incorporate Michel as head of the DGA, a position that the lawyer and accountant already held in 2015.

Michel will take over from July 1st with the aim of deepening the process of strengthening the control and oversight areas of the DGA to prevent abusive foreign trade maneuvers.

Traverso, for his part, will continue to accompany Marcó del Pont in his management at the AFIP.
