The Federal Public Revenue Administration and the Ministry of Agroindustry made official this Thursday (1.12.2017) the regulation that obliges slaughterhouses that slaughter pork to pay VAT on account, prior to authorizing a slaughter.
The measure, published this Thursday (1.12.2017) in the Official Gazette, through the General Resolution No. 4168/2017, is integrated into the one established in March of this year, which set the same mechanism for beef slaughterhouses.
La AFIP will periodically inform the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Trade Control of the payments made and it will not authorize work to those who have not complied with this obligation.
With these actions, the national government seeks to make the value chain of the meat sector transparent.
