According to the quarterly indicator published this Monday (09.12.2024) by the WTO, the sectors with the greatest dynamism include the maritime transport From containers, with an outstanding index of 105,8 points, followed by the automotive (104) and air freight transport (102,9). However, sectors such as electronic components continue to lag behind with an index of 96,5, reflecting specific challenges in this segment.
Despite the current positive figures, the WTO projections for 2025 are tinged with uncertainty, with possible tariff tensions between large economies and adjustments in trade policies. The organization anticipates "global trade growth of 2,7% in 2024 and XNUMX% in XNUMX." 3% in 2025”, with marked regional differences: Asia leads the growth in exports, and the imports of the northern countries; meanwhile, Europe faces contractions in both imports and exports.
